Dustin's Birthday

He loved helping Daddy open his card and present!

5 months old

I am a little late with this one! Zeke was five months on the 11th. So hard to believe. We had a dr appt on the 12th and he weighed fourteen pounds thirteen ounces. The doc said we could feed him some cereal but he didn't need it yet, the milk was enough. We decided he was hungry and it was time for some cereal. We started with it in his bottle a little at a time and now he is eating it from a spoon and doing really well with it. Today was a milestone, he rolled over for the first time. I put him on his tummy and over he went. He just looked at my mom and me and smiled in shock that he had done it. He tried again without success. His PT Ms. Ashley said the first time would be a shocker since he has been trying for so long!

Staying away from home

Today was Zeke's first day to stay at someone else's house, just another milestone in life that was easy for him and hard for mommy (I know too many of those are in my future, lol).

All on a Saturday night

On Sunday, biggest loser began so on Saturday night we gathered and pigged out. Abbi and Zeke had a good time playing and she enjoyed helping take care of him!

Over the break

Zeke has been doing all kinds of things since I have been at home, he is rolling from side to back and stomach and can almost go from his stomach to his back by his self. He is really learning to prop well with his nub ( I had decided propping and possibly crawling were just not possible, but he proved me wrong on that so far!) He can sorta sit up by his self but doesn't stay very balanced! He has started to wake up again in the middle of this night hungry so going back to work has been hard! It was hard anyway, I had to leave him somewhere other than at home for this first time. I think this week was harder than the first week I went back, but he adjusted to his Gran's house just fine!

Christmas Day at our house

We decided this year to have everyone over to our house instead of going four or five places on Christmas Day. Luckily most of our immediate family got to come and we had a very enjoyable Christmas this year.

Christmas Morning

We got up Christmas morning to find that Santa brought Zeke a walker. He also opened presents from Mom and Dad, but first we read about the birth of Jesus.

Christmas Eve at home

Once we got home from Mom's, we read Rudolph, put out chewy deweys for Santa and were off to bed to wait for Santa.

Christmas at Granny Nancy's

Christmas at Mom's is always the smallest, it is just momma, me, dustin, chance and now Zeke. We kind of do our own thing, pizza, presents and Miracle on 34th Street. When I was a child I always opened all of my presents from Mom and Dad on Christmas Eve so we just continued doing that.

Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas

This was Christmas at Lisa and Tommy's. We enjoyed good food and company and opened gifts.

Christmas at Church

On Sunday, we had Christmas breakfast and the Christmas story at church. Zeke got a present from Penny and Rob ( a Jordan jersey and hat with booties). He wore it to church that night to the play but got cranky and Dustin brought him home and put him to bed. I stayed to see the play and it was amazing, the kids (and grown ups--Martel and Jennifer you guys were the funniest) did great!

Christmas at Dad's

Christmas at Dad's was the Saturday before Christmas. This was the first year the girls really got excited over presents and it was so much fun.

Zeke's 1st Christmas with Abbi

We had our first get together for Christmas on the 16th. As Rachel puts it, we just couldn't pencil her in any closer to Christmas! Zeke got new Jordan's and he loved them, he wants to wear them every day! Abbi got new princess boots and I am pretty sure she loves them too!
